In this work, we define a weaker Meir–Keeler type function ψ : int P ∪ {0} → int P ∪ {0} in a cone metric space, and under this weaker Meir–Keeler type function, we show the common fixed point theorems of four single-valued functions in cone metric spaces. © 2010 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

In this paper we consider the so called a cone metric type space, which is a generalization of a cone metric space. We prove some common fixed point theorems for four mappings in those spaces. Obtained results extend and generalize well-known comparable results in the literature. All results are proved in the settings of a solid cone, without the assumption of continuity of mappings.

We discuss the newly introduced concept of cone metric spaces. We also discuss the fixed point existence results of contractive mappings defined on such metric spaces. In particular, we show that most of the new results are merely copies of the classical ones.
