designing a power splitter with five ports has been shown in this article. in order to prevent the direct coupling between waveguides, a t-shaped structure with an appropriate distance has been used. the coupling between the parallel photonic crystal waveguides is based on multimode interference, while selecting the output efficiency is performed by setting the refractive coefficients and radiu...

The particle size distribution of the resultant cobalt ferrite samples was determined from Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) images using the granulometry image analysis method. Results showed the nanosized particles of the samples. The X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) patterns of samples were also analyzed by Rietveld refinement method. The results indicated that the precipitated sample at 95 <sup...

the purpose of this paper is the generalization of structure factor for rods by polygon section in two dimensional phononic crystals. if we use the plane wave expansion method (pwe) for the propagation of acoustic waves in 2d phononic crystals, structure factor will be an important quantity. in order to confirm the obtained relations, we have calculated the band structure for xy and z vibration...

In this paper, we have proposed an all-optical wavelength triplexer using photonic crystal resonant cavities. The photonic crystal rods is composed of three layers, InP-InGaAsP-InP, the substrate consists of InP with a refractive index of nInP=3.169 and the guiding layer is InGaAsP, with an index of nInGaAsP=3.364. The guiding layer is 0.510μm thick, and it has an InP top cladding of 1.500μm. T...

Submitted for the MAR12 Meeting of The American Physical Society Majority-vote model on a dynamic small-world square lattice THOMAS E. STONE, Husson University, SUSAN R. MCKAY, University of Maine — Majority-vote models are often used to study consensus building, coarsening dynamics, and phase transitions, among other phenomena. In addition to the microscope rules governing a particular model, ...

in this paper we investigate the effect of a random transverse field, distributed according to a trimodal distribution, on the phase diagram and magnetic properties of a two-dimensional lattice (square with z=4),  ferromagnetic ising system consisting of magnetic atoms with spin-1. this study is done using the effectivefield theory (eft) with correlations method. the equations are derived using...

background and aims: considering the fact that different components of linguistic knowledge are not equally vulnerable, this study investigated the knowledge of argument structure of verbs in a group of deaf persian speakers, as people who have been deprived of linguistic data during the early years of their childhood that is the critical period of language acquisition. methods: in this study, ...

In this letter, we introduce the concept of k-error lattice structure to describe the stability of lattice structure for pseudorandom number sequences, give some of its properties, and make a study of the relationship between the k-error lattice structure and the k-error linear complexity. These properties and the relationship create an elementary framework to study the stability of the lattice...

The phase structure of lattice QCD with two flavors and Wilson fermions is studied analytically. At β = 0 we obtain rigorous lower and upper bounds for the critical hopping parameter kc(0) from a convergent hopping parameter expansion to infinite order. The result supports the value kc(0) = 1 4 observed in Monte Carlo simulations.

We study the generalisation of Baxter’s three-colour problem to a random lattice. Rephrasing the problem as a matrix model problem we discuss the analyticity structure and critical behaviour of the resulting matrix model. Based on a set of loop equations we develop an algorithm which enables us to solve the three-colour problem recursively. PACS codes: 05.20.y, 04.60.Nc
