QED is studied at low temperature (T ≪ m, where m is the electron mass) and zero chemical potential. By integrating out the electron field and the nonzero bosonic Matsubara modes, we construct an effective three-dimensional field theory that is valid at distances R ≫ 1/T . As applications, we reproduce the ring-improved free energy and calculate the Debye mass to order e.

Ultrarelativistic electron-positron plasmas can be produced in high-intensity laser fields and play a role in various astrophysical situations. Their properties can be calculated using QED at finite temperature. Here we will use perturbative QED at finite temperature for calculating various important properties, such as the equation of state, dispersion relations of collective plasma modes of p...

We calculate the Debye and Meissner masses of a gauge boson in a material consisting of two species of massless fermions that form a condensate of Cooper pairs. We perform the calculation as a function of temperature, for the cases of neutral Cooper pairs and charged Cooper pairs, and for a range of parameters including gapped quasiparticles, and ungapped quasiparticles with both quadratic and ...

In the present work, effect of cylindrical configurations sputtering device electrodes on plasma parameters (Debye length, electron temperature, density, frequency) is studied. Also, argon gas pressure discharge properties examined with pressures (0.08, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6) Torr. The are diagnosed by optical emission spectrometry. spectroscopic method adopted for examining atomic spectra emission....

Dielectric measurements of lanthanum modified lead titanate ceramics were carried out in a frequency and temperature range of 70 × 10 Hz – 2 × 10 Hz and 300 K 420 K, respectively. Dielectric relaxation appears around 7 × 10 Hz at room temperature, and the maximum of the dielectric relaxation was around 393 K, the transition temperature (T c ). The relaxation frequency passes through a minimum a...

The Debye temperature ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Theta}}}_{\mathrm{D}}$ characterizes the vibrations of a solid and marks transition between quantized classical behaviors nuclear motion. While thermodynamical theories suggest that for nanoparticles should be lower than bulk limit increase with increasing nanoparticle size, various experimental measurements have reported intriguing variations includ...

We study the running of the QCD coupling with the momentum squared (Q) and the temperature scales in the high temperature limit (T > Tc), using a mass dependent renormalization scheme to build the Renormalization Group Equations. The approach used guaranty gauge invariance, through the use of the Hard Thermal Loop approximation, and independence of the vertex chosen to renormalize the coupling....
