Fundamentally, newborn items that are used commercially, such as chicken, fish, and small camel, grow day by in size also increase their weight. The seller offers a credit policy to the buyer sales for particular growing item (fish), this paper, it is assumed accepts of trade credit. In acquires (fish) from then sells them when have increased From point view, present paper reveals fuzzy-based s...
This paper extends an imperfect production inventory model to machine breakdown at a random time and rework of defective items. Any manufacturing system wants to produce perfect quality items. But in long run production process, there may arise different types of difficulties like labor problem, rawmaterial problems, operator problems, etc., due to that the machinery systems shift from in-contr...
The purpose of this article is to present an acceptance sampling plan based on cumulative count of conforming using minimum angle method. In this plan, if the number of inspected items until rth defective items is greater than an upper control threshold then lot is accepted and if it is less than a lower control threshold then the lot is rejected and if it is between control thresholds, process...
This study uses mathematical modeling to examine a multi-product economic manufacturing quantity (EMQ) model with an enhanced end items issuing policy and rework failures. We assume that a multi-product EMQ model randomly generates nonconforming items. All of the defective are reworked, but a certain portion fails and becomes scraps. When rework process ends and the entire lot of each product i...
In the classical inventory models, the common unrealistic assumption is that all the items produced are of good quality in nature. However, in realistic environment, it can be observed that there may be some defective items in an ordered lot. These items are usually picked up during the screening process and are sold as a single lot at the end of screening process. Further, it is tacitly assume...
This paper addresses the problem of reworking of defective items and develops an integrated cost model so as to minimize the extra costs of reworking/scraping of work pieces. Items to be reworked are the results of quality problem. To improve a product’s quality, the selection of process target is extremely important since it directly affects the process defective rate, material cost, rework or...
Previous studies in the issue of supply chain models with imperfect quality assumed the defectives could be sold at lower unit price by the end of the inspection process and the lot-for-lot delivery policy was employed. However, in practice, defective items may have no salvage value but may need additional disposal cost to process them. The beginning of the printed circuit board (PCB) industry ...
We consider nonadaptive probabilistic group testing in the linear regime, where each of n items is defective independently with probability p ∈ (0, 1), where p is a constant independent of n. We show that testing each item individually is optimal, in the sense that with fewer than n tests the error probability is bounded away from zero.
We study the problem of estimating the number of defective items in adaptive Group testing by using a minimum number of queries. We improve the existing algorithm and prove a lower bound that show that, for constant estimation, the number of tests in our algorithm is optimal.
