background and aim: one of the key aspects of maternal care is observing the progress of labor. careful assessment of labor progress could provide mothers to be referred on time and could decrease the maternal and neonatal morbidity. this study aimed to compare diagnostic accuracy of purple line with transvers diagonal of michaelis sacral rhomboid to predict labor progress in nulliparous and mu...

The spectral theorem in linear algebra tells us that every symmetric matrix A (n x n) can be factored as A = PDP , where P is an orthogonal matrix and D is a diagonal matrix comprising of the eigenvalues of A. Such a diagonalization is possible only when A is symmetric. What if A is just a square matrix but not symmetric? We know that every square matrix A (symmetric or not) is diagonalizable a...

A diagonal Latin square is a Latin square whose main diagonal and back diagonal are both transversals. In this paper we give some constructions of pairwise orthogonal diagonal Latin squares. As an application of such constructions we obtain some new infinite classes of pairwise orthogonal diagonal Latin squares which are useful in the study of pairwise orthogonal diagonal Latin squares.

Uniaxial compression tests were carried on 12 concrete specimens with six different diameter holes using a rigid test machine, and the stress–strain relationship was analyzed in hole specimens. The effects of diameters specimen strength, elastic modulus, Poisson’s ratio studied, failure form instability mode evaluated. results show that larger strength specimen, axial horizontal strains. As inc...

The purpose of this study is to utilize timber material enhance the in-plane shear strength and deformation capacity a brick wall. proposed strengthening method light-weight easy assemble includes frame, plywood panel, M12 threaded rod with chemical epoxy, hold-down anchor. To evaluate effectiveness reinforced wall, three walls were tested under cyclic horizontal load static compression stress:...

We obtain several results and examples concerning the general question “When must a space with a small diagonal have a Gδ-diagonal?”. In particular, we show (1) every compact metrizably fibered space with a small diagonal is metrizable; (2) there are consistent examples of regular Lindelöf (even hereditarily Lindelöf) spaces with a small diagonal but no Gδ-diagonal; (3) every first-countable he...

Compressed sensing (CS) is a rising focus in recent years for its simultaneous sampling and compression of sparse signals. Speech signals can be considered approximately sparse or compressible in some domains for natural characteristics. Thus, it has great prospect to apply compressed sensing to speech signals. This paper is involved in three aspects. Firstly, the sparsity and sparsifying matri...

This paper addresses a target detection problem for which the covariance matrix of the unknown Gaussian clutter background has block diagonal structure. This block diagonal structure is the consequence of the target lying along a boundary between two statisticallyindependentclutter regions. Here, we design adaptive detection algorithmsusing both the generalized likelihood ratio (GLR) and invari...

Vector wavelet transforms for vector-valued fields can be implemented directly from multiwavelets; however, existing multiwavelets offer surprisingly poor performance for transforms in vector-valued signalprocessing applications. In this paper, the reason for this performance failure is identified, and a remedy is proposed. A multiwavelet design criterion, omnidirectional balancing, is introduc...
