به کمک روش های عددی، برآورد نقطه تغییر در میانگین فرآیند نرمال با بیشینه سازی تابع درستنمایی و کمینه سازی تابع اطلاع شوارتز بدست می آید. در این پژوهش روش عددی نوینی برای این برآورد به عنوان روش بهینه سازی الگوریتم جست وجوی گرانشی مورد بررسی قرار می گیرد. نتایج شبیه سازی حاکی از آن است که روش عددی مورد بررسی در برآورد نقطه تغییر دارای عملکرد نسبتاً مناسبی نسبت به روش های پیشین می باشد.
