In this paper, we introduce a coding scheme aimed at annotating group behaviour. The scheme is inspired by the Bales’ Interaction Process Analysis and consists in 10 labels organized in 2 dimensions. After the description the categories some preliminary results concerning its reliability are presented.

The phenomenon of aggregation and dilation(A&D) widely exists in nature. The mechanism behind it is regarded as the effect of some kind of attraction and repulsion(A&R). A&R control becomes a popular and promising way of controlling the structure and distribution of a group composed of several and even numerous individuals. This paper presents the concepts of aggregation, dilation and group evo...

Sexual behaviour of 75 normal married females was studied. Most of them had a healthy attitude to sex. Frequency of sexual activity decreases with age and duration of marriage. Median frequency for 21-30years age was 2/week, for 31- 40years was 1.4/week and for 41-50 years was 0.5/week. Frequency of coitus did not correlate with socio-economic status. Nearly 52% women had more than 50% satisfac...

Online group buying is an effective marketing method. By using online group buying, customers get unbelievable discounts on premium products and services. This not only meets customer demand, but also helps sellers to find new ways to sell products sales and open up new business models, all parties benefit in these transactions. During these bleak economic times, group buying has become extreme...

Computer models for the simulation of crowds represent a consolid...

In this paper we compare the evolution of simple behaviour patterns for both an individual and a group of simulated physical robots. An evolutionary algorithm with quite general objective function is used to study the ability to develop behaviour patterns such as the maze exploring ability. The group experiments demonstrate the development of collective behaviour where the group members follow ...

While full computer understanding of dynamic visual scenes containing several people may be currently unattainable, we propose a computationally efficient approach to determine areas of interest in such scenes. We present methods for modelling and interpretation of multi-person human behaviour in real time to control video cameras for visually mediated interaction.

This paper extends the Function-Behaviour-Structure (FBS) framework, which proposed eight fundamental processes involved in designing. This framework did not explicitly account for the dynamic character of the context in which designing takes place, described by the notion of situatedness. This paper describes this concept as a recursive interrelationship between different environments, which, ...

This paper proposes a comprehensive schema to represent an agent’s social knowledge using the Function – Behaviour – Structure (FBS) schema. Although this schema has originally been developed to represent knowledge about design objects, it is sufficiently abstract to also describe knowledge about agents. This paper shows how such an FBS view can be useful to support the interaction of situated ...

This paper investigates whether and to what extent group identity plays a role in peer effects on risk behaviour. We run a laboratory experiment in which different levels of group identity are induced through different matching protocols (random or based on individual painting preferences) and the possibility to interact with group members via an online chat in a group task. Risk behaviour is m...
