Assemblies of 1-methyl-1',2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethene (mpe) and Co(NCS)(2) afford three isomeric framework networks and different topological features depending on the assembly conditions. Isomerism control and solid-to-solid transformation phenomena are observed among them.

Total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (TAPVC) with direct connection of the pulmonary veins to the morphologically right atrium is exceedingly rare other than in the setting of isomerism of the right atrial appendages. We present an interesting case of TAPVC in a patient with situs solitus that connected to the right atrium via a broad-mouthed common chamber.

Three classes of hydrogen-bonded capsules with imperfect walls have been prepared and characterized. The defects reduce the symmetry of the capsules, leading to rich isomerism. The missing hydrogen bonds provide additional flexibility to the capsules and exert an influence on their guest binding properties in different assemblies.
