To suppress the over-oxidation of solvents, reaction conditions were optimized, and ligands added to system facilitate oxidation sulfur compounds with molecular oxygen. The addition suitable nitrogen led effective suppression, 2,2′-bipyridine showed best performance among analyzed samples. After use ligand, yields by-products from solvent reduced by a factor 15 compared those without any ligands.

The aim of the present study is to synthesize the oxovanadium complex of the V3+ ion with isatin sciff bases. Spectroscopic methods have been used to confirm these models of complexation and to understand the structures of the species formed in methanolic solution.
