Background: One of the important goals in control diabetes to maintain normal levels of glycated hemoglobin, but different social and psychological factors such as social support and alexithymia play role on process of this control. The purpose of present study was to examine the role of alexithymia on the association of social support and glycated hemoglobin in patients with type 2 diabetes. M...
background a strong association between obesity and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (nafld) has been reported. objectives this study was conducted to evaluate if new obesity indices, including a body shape index (absi) and body roundness index (bri), have stronger associations with nafld than waist-to-hip ratio (whr) and waist-to-height ratio (whtr). methods in this cross-sectional study, we ...
The use of correlation coefficients in measuring the association between two continuous variables is common, but regular methods of calculating correlations have not been extended to the clustered data framework. For clustered data in which observations within a cluster may be correlated, regular inferential procedures for calculating marginal association between two variables can be biased. Th...
We introduce the possibility of combining lexical association measures and present empirical results of several methods employed in automatic collocation extraction. First, we present a comprehensive summary overview of association measures and their performance on manually annotated data evaluated by precision-recall graphs and mean average precision. Second, we describe several classification...
Association rule mining is one technique that is widely used when querying databases, especially those that are transactional, in order to obtain useful associations or correlations among sets of items. Much work has been done focusing on efficiency, effectiveness and redundancy. There has also been a focusing on the quality of rules from single level datasets with many interestingness measures...

We introduce a simple and effective crosslingual approach to identifying collocations. This approach is based on the observation that true collocations, which cannot be translated word for word, will exhibit very different association scores before and after literal translation. Our experiments in Japanese demonstrate that our cross-lingual association measure can successfully exploit the combi...
This paper presents Association Coefficient Measures for Document Clustering. The proposed Association Coefficient Measures approach is based on Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets. In this paper twelve Association Coefficient Measures from f1 to f12 are used. In Document Clustering Document collection, Text Pre-processing, Feature Selection, Indexing, Clustering Process and Results Analysis steps are us...
ABSTRACT Asso iation rules are valuable patterns be ause they o er useful insight into the types of dependen ies that exist between attributes of a data set. Due to the ompleteness nature of algorithms su h as Apriori, the number of patterns extra ted are often very large. Therefore, there is a need to prune or rank the dis overed patterns a ording to their degree of interestingness. In this pa...
Several approaches generalizing crisp association rules to fuzzy association rules have been proposed. In an our previous paper we introduced a pair of confidence measures for crisp association rules from which one can be obtained the majority known quality measures. In this paper, starting from these results we give an extension to fuzzy association rules.
