In this paper, we show that the residual can be used to estimate the error of a numerical solution for a class of nonlinear Hammerstein equations. It is also shown that the superconvergence of the iterated numerical solution provides a sufficient condition for the residual to be used as an error estimator. Hammerstein equations with smooth as well as wekly singular kernels will be treated.

This paper gives an ecient numerical method for solving the nonlinear systemof Volterra-Fredholm integral equations. the first integral method is an efficient method for obtaining exact solutions of some nonlinear partial differential equations. this method can be applied to non integrable equations as well as to integrable ones. in this paper, the first integral method is used to construct exact solutions of the 2d ginzburg-landau equation.
