The oxygen evolution reaction at multi-cycled iron oxy-hydroxide films in aqueous alkaline solution is discussed. Steady-state Tafel plot analysis and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy have been used to elucidate the kinetics and mechanism of oxygen evolution.
