We used participant-produced photography to investigate everyday commuting practices in Cambridge, UK. Photovoice served as an observational method for producing ethnographically rich data. A total of 19 participants produced over 500 photos about their journeys to and from work and took part in photo-elicitation interviews. Three themes emerged. First, many images depicted 'well-being' in comm...
At city level, personal monitoring is the best way to assess people's exposure. However, it is usually estimated from a few monitoring stations. Our aim was to determine the exposure to black carbon (BC) and BC dose for 45 schoolchildren with portable microaethalometers and to evaluate the relationship between personal monitoring and fixed stations at schools (indoor and outdoor) and in an urba...
In this paper, first we prove fixed point theorems for different variant of compatible maps, satisfying a contractive condition of integral type in fuzzy metric spaces, which improve the results of Branciari [2], Rhoades [33], Kumar et al. [23], Subramanyam [35] and results of various authors cited in the literature of ”Fixed Point Theory and Applications”. Secondly, we introduce the notion of ...
Theorem 1. Let A, S, I, and J be self-mappings of a complete metric space (X,d) such that the pairs (A,I) and (S,J) are commuting and A(X)⊂ J(X) and S(X)⊂ I(X) such [ 1+pd(Ax,Sy)]d(Ix,Jy) ≤ pmax{d(Ix,Ax)·d(Sy,Jy),d(Ix,Sy)·d(Jy,Ax)} +φ(d(Ax,Sy),d(Ix,Ax),d(Sy,Jy),d(Ix,Sy),d(Jy,Ax)), (1) for all x,y ∈ X where p ≥ 0 and φ ∈ Ψ . Then A, S, I, and J have a unique common fixed point provided one of th...
We describe a large-scale project in applied automated deduction concerned with the following problem of considerable interest in loop theory: If Q is a loop with commuting inner mappings, does it follow that Q modulo its center is a group and Q modulo its nucleus is an abelian group? This problem has been answered affirmatively in several varieties of loops. The solution usually involves sophi...
In the first part of this paper, we prove the existence of common fixed points for a commuting pair consisting of a single-valued and a multivalued mapping both satisfying the Suzuki condition in a uniformly convex Banach space. In this way, we generalize the result of Dhompongsa et al. 2006 . In the second part of this paper, we prove a fixed point theorem for upper semicontinuous mappings sat...
Let $n > 1 $ be a fixed positive integer and $S$ subset of ring $R$. A mapping $\zeta$ $R$ into itself is called $n$-skew-commuting on if $\zeta(x)x^{n} + x^{n}\zeta(x)=0$, $\forall$ $x\in S.$ The main aim this paper to describe mappings appropriate subsets With this, many known results can either generalized or deduced. In particular, solves the conjecture in [M. Nadeem, M. Aslam M.A. J...
In this paper we study the existence of commuting regular elements, verifying the notion left (right) commuting regular elements and its properties in the groupoid G(n). Also we show that G(n) contains commuting regular subsemigroup and give a necessary and sufficient condition for the groupoid G(n) to be commuting regular.
