In this paper we derive a formula for the expectation of random Hermite polynomials in Skorohod integrals, extending classical results in the adapted case. As an application we recover, under simple conditions and with short proofs, the anticipative Girsanov identity and quasi-invariance results obtained in [6] for quasi-nilpotent shifts on the Wiener space.
In this paper, we prove that the general quasi variational inequalities are equivalent to the fixed point problem using the projection technique. We use this equivalent formulation to study the sensitivity analysis of the general quasi variational inequality. Our approach is very simple. Several special cases are also discussed. We present a formalism within which the relationship (discovered by Drinfel’d in [Dr1, Dr2]) between associators (for quasi-triangular quasi-Hopf algebras) and (a variant of) the Grothendieck-Teichmuller group becomes simple and natural, leading to a great simplification of Drinfel’d’s original work. In particular, we re-prove that rational associators exist and can be constructed iteratively.
Let G(v, e) be the set of all simple graphs with v vertices and e edges and let P2(G) = ∑ di denote the sum of the squares of the degrees, d1, . . . , dv, of the vertices of G. It is known that the maximum value of P2(G) for G ∈ G(v, e) occurs at one or both of two special graphs in G(v, e)—the quasi-star graph or the quasi-complete graph. For each pair (v, e), we determine which of these two g...

Sub-10 nm monodisperse PbS cubes are synthesized by reacting quasi-spherical PbS nanocrystals with (NH4)2S. This reaction shapes the quasi-spheres into cubes via preferential growth of the (111) facets. A four-band envelope function calculation of the energy levels accounts well for the measured absorption spectra. Initial studies show that PbS cubes can organize into simple square superlattice...
A production function f is called quasi-sum if there are continuous strict monotone functions F, h1, . . . , hn with F > 0 such that f(x) = F (h1(x1) + · · · + hn(xn)) (cf. [1]). A quasi-sum production function is called quasi-linear if at most one of F, h1, . . . , hn is a nonlinear function. For a production function f , the graph of f is called the production hypersurface of f . In this pape...
Dowling lattices and their generalizations introduced by Hanlon are interpreted as lattices of congruences associated to certain quasi-varieties of sets with group actions. This interpretation leads, by a simple application of Mobius inversion, to polynomial identities which specialize to Hanlon's evaluation of the characteristic polynomials of generalized Dowling lattices. Analogous results ar...
Suppose τ is a train track on a surface S. Let C (τ) be the set of isotopy classes of simple closed curves carried by τ. Masur and Minsky [2004] prove that C (τ) is quasi-convex inside the curve complex C (S). We prove that the complement, C (S)−C (τ), is quasi-convex.
an aircraft wing needs to display different mechanical behavior in different directions. 1- stiffness in the spanwise (transverse to the corrugation) direction which enables the aerodynamic and inertial loads to be carried. 2- compliance in the chordwise (corrugation) direction which would allow shape changes and increases in surface area; whereas a corrugated sheet due to their special geometr...
