Infarction of the choroid plexus may result from ischemia in the distribution of the medial posterior choroidal artery. Diffusion-weighted imaging may depict this unusual stroke syndrome. The clinical and radiologic aspects of this rare condition are discussed taking into consideration the anatomy and pathophysiology of the choroid plexus.

We relate the first case in the Republic of Ireland of Cronkhite Canada Syndrome (CCS). The patient presented with weight loss, alopecia, nail dystrophy, taste disturbance and classic radiologic and endoscopic features of CCS. She continued to dramatically lose weight and early repeat colonoscopy showed the interim development of an invasive sigmoid adenocarcinoma.J

Two cases of tuberous sclerosis are presented. Extensive superficial occipital calcifications were found as classically described in Sturge-Weber syndrome. Other radiologic signs of tuberous sclerosis, such as subependymal calcifications in both patients and surgically proved giant cell astrocytoma in one patient, were present. At pathologic examination, the calcifications appeared to be locate...

Primary segmental volvulus (PSV) of the ileum in neonate occurs rarely but shows an aggressive clinical course. Thus, early diagnosis is important to prevent necrosis and perforation of the intestine. We report a case of PSV of the ileum in a 2-day-old female neonate whose clinical features and radiologic findings appeared to be meconium plug syndrome.

We present a case of silent sinus syndrome (SSS) who underwent unilateral surgical endoscopic maxillary meatotomy. Orbital floor reconstruction is delayed after follow up. Enophthalmos recovered 8 months after the surgery and radiologic findings improved. SSS is a clinical entity that should be kept in mind in the differential diagnosis of enophthalmos and can be treated successfully via endosc...

The radiologic appearance of a "ballooned" fourth ventricle usually occurs consequent to obstruction of its exit foramina. One variant of ballooned fourth ventricle is the "isolated" ventricle, which occurs when there is both an aqueductal stenosis as well as extraventricular obstructive hydrocephalus. We describe the neuroradiologic evaluation of a patient originally thought to have an isolate...
