An accurate equivalent circuit model for the microstrip line with a complementary split ring resonator (CSRR), and the parameter extraction method, are presented. A highpass filter with steep rejection is designed based on the model. The measurement results confirm the efficient analysis and design procedure and the validity of the highpass filter configuration. DOI: 10.2529/PIERS060906062902

The electromechanical coupling factors (ηe’s) of capacitively-transduced micromechanical resonators have been increased by a factor of 8.1× via a process technology that utilizes atomic layer deposition (ALD) to partially fill the electrode-toresonator gaps of released resonators with high-k dielectric material and thereby achieve effective electrode-to-resonator gap spacings as small as 32 nm....

A new design technique of dual-mode ring-resonator suspended-substrate stripline filter is reported in this paper to achieve low passband insertion loss, high quality factor and good spurious response. A fourth-order bandpass filter was designed and fabricated at the operational frequency of 2.07 GHz with two ring resonators packaged in a metallic cavity where each ring resonation is one wavele...

A resonator using shear waves of lithium niobate is used in this paper to achieve large fractional bandwidth BAW filter. Electromechanical couplings in the 20–50 % range are obtained for the shear waves of a thin layer of Lithium Niobate suspended on a silicon substrate. By this way a filter with fractional bandwidth over 20% has been designed for space applications.

In This paper, optical Filter based on photonic crystal ring resonator with square lattice is proposed. The add-drop filter is designed by coupling in line quasi waveguide and resonant cavity. Photonic band gap is obtained by plane wave expansion method (PWE) and Simulation is carried out by Finite Difference Time Domain method (FDTD).This type of add-drop filter provide high transmission effic...

A programmable bandpass filter for 2.0–2.7 GHz centre frequencies and 450–500 MHz 3 dB bandwidth is presented. The filter is based on packaged RF-MEMS capacitor matrices as the tunable elements. The coupled-resonator filter topology was chosen with added transfer zeros. The results show excellent match between simulation and measurements. The measured insertion loss is 4.5–5.5 dB over the tunin...

Coupling a resonator to superconducting qubit enables various operations on the qubit, including dispersive readout and unconditional reset. The speed of these is limited by external decay rate resonator. However, increasing also increases via resonator, limiting lifetime. Here, we demonstrate that resonator-mediated can be suppressed utilizing distributed-element, multi-mode nature We show sup...

A high temperature superconductor (HTS) filter is designed and measured at 1.93 GHz, using microstrip half-wavelength spiral resonators. Resonant and coupling characteristics of miniaturized microstrip spiral resonators are investigated first. Then a 4-pole Chebyshev bandpass filter with a very narrow passband (4.1 MHz) is designed and realized using microstrip spiral resonators. The filter is ...

A compact and sharp-rejection ultra-wideband (UWB) microstrip band-pass filter (BPF) is developed using of left handed metamaterials realized by complementary split ring resonator (CSRR). Moreover, proposed structure consists of two doublets parallel coupling gaps at each side of a microstrip ring. In comparison with some other filters, this structure shows a significantly wider passband due to...
