Abstract Systematic experimental data have been obtained on the results of catalytic chemical reactions in a microchannel reactor for synthesis methanol from gas. Synthesis gas contains hydrogen, carbon monoxide and dioxide, as well nitrogen ratio 58/29/5/8. The experiments were carried out at different flow rates temperature range 190-260C. Experiments also fixed bed pressures.

The synthesis of α-amino carbonyl/carboxyl compounds is a contemporary challenge in organic synthesis. Herein, we present a stereoselective α-amination of amides employing simple azides that proceeds under mild conditions with release of nitrogen gas. The amide is used as the limiting reagent, and through simple variation of the azide pattern, various differently substituted aminated products c...

Amongthe methods for racemization testing in peptide synthesis, the GLCmethod is a simple one and the most practicable, especially when a packed column is used. In this method Tfa-Pro-X-OH (X=amino acids) is coupled with H-Val-Pro-OMe, the resulting Tfa-tetrapeptide-OMe is separated by GLC, and the degree of recemization is estimated from the ratio of the peaks separated to the diastereoisomers...

Combinatorial chemistry was shown to be an efficient tool for the preparation of new aroma-impact compounds. In this case, polyfunctional thiols were synthesized quickly using halide reagents or Bunte salt intermediates. They were separated by gas chromatography and then characterized using low resolution EI and CI mass spectrometry. The individual sensorial properties of the thiol products (i....

This Review describes singlet oxygen ((1)O2) in the organic synthesis of targets on possible (1)O2 biosynthetic routes. The visible-light sensitized production of (1)O2 is not only useful for synthesis; it is extremely common in nature. This Review is intended to draw a logical link between flow and batch reactions-a combination that leads to the current state of (1)O2 in synthesis.

The ring closing metathesis (RCM) is a powerful method in organic synthesis for the preparation of cyclic compounds by formation of new carbon-carbon bonds. In the past years a particular subclass of the RCM, the ring closing enyne metathesis (RCEYM), has attracted attention due to its synthetic potential in the generation of ring structures with 1,3-diene moieties, which can subsequently be fu...

In this work we report strategies to nucleate bimetallic nanoparticles (NPs) made by gas phase synthesis of elements showing difficulty in homogeneous nucleation. It is shown that the nucleation assisted problem of bimetallic NP synthesis can be solved via the following pathways: (i) selecting an element which can itself nucleate and act as a nucleation center for the synthesis of bimetallic NP...

In the current work, a novel combustion method is demonstrated for the direct synthesis of nanocomposite materials. Specifically doped tin dioxide (SnO2) powders were selected for the demonstration studies due to the key role SnO2 plays in semiconductor gas sensors and the strong sensitivity of doped SnO2 to nanocomposite properties. The synthesis approach combines solid and gas-phase precursor...

Fischer–Tropsch technology has gathered renewed interest in the energy industry in recent times for synthesis of diesel and gasoline. The synthesis of linear hydrocarbon diesel fuel (having high cetane number) through Fischer–Tropsch synthesis (FTS) reaction requires syngas with high H2/CO molar ratio. Producer gas obtained from biomass gasification has low H2/CO ratios, with significant conten...
