Introduction: Due to the prevalence of skin problems in patients after radiotherapy, skin dose measuring is importance. Content: Skin in vivo dosimetry means measuring the patient's (or phantom) skin dose during radiotherapy. According to the ICRP 59, the dose at the depth of 0.07 mm is known as a skin dose. The most radiosensitive epidermis cells are located...

We investigated the relative effectiveness of tangential versus normal displacements of skin for eliciting tactile sensations. Subjects adjusted the magnitude of slow tangential and oblique displacements of a cylindrical, flat-ended 1 mm diameter probe glued to the skin in order to match the perceived intensity of a reference displacement that indented the skin normal to the surface. At both th...

background: in most cancer cases, the treatment choice for a pregnant patient is radiotherapy. in these patients, the abdomen is usually not exposed therefore fetus exposure is due to peripheral dose (pd). the purpose of this study was to estimate the fetal dose (the maximum pd in each pregnancy stage) for modalities available and to fabricate and evaluate a generally applicable fetal shield. m...

BACKGROUND Local cancer relapse risk after breast conservation surgery followed by radiotherapy has fallen sharply in many countries, and is influenced by patient age and clinicopathological factors. We hypothesise that partial-breast radiotherapy restricted to the vicinity of the original tumour in women at lower than average risk of local relapse will improve the balance of beneficial versus ...

We propose a framework for the spectral processing of tangential vector fields on surfaces. The basis is a Fourier-type representation of tangential vector fields that associates frequencies with tangential vector fields. To implement the representation for piecewise constant tangential vector fields on triangle meshes, we introduce a discrete Hodge–Laplace operator that fits conceptually to th...

We propose a new method of tangential redistribution of points by controlling the tangential motion in curvature driven flow of plane curves. The tangential velocity is designed by taking into account the shape of curves. It is based on combination of method of asymptotic uniform redistribution and the tangential velocity in crystalline curvature flow equations.

Through the Loewner equation, real-valued driving functions generate sets called hulls. We analyze that approach 0 at least as fast \(a (T-t)^r\) \(t \to T\), where \(r \in (0, 1/2)\), and show corresponding hulls have tangential behavior time \(T\). also prove a result about trace existence apply it to driven by \(a(T-t)^r\) for (0,1/2)\) curve.

PURPOSE To evaluate the efficacy of conservative surgery plus chemo-, radio-therapy in treating patients with early stage breast cancer. PATIENTS AND METHODS Eligible patients were treated by postoperative chemotherapy as well as whole-breast irradiation with tumor bed boost. Postoperative radiotherapy consisted of 6 MV whole breast linear accelerator irradiation with two tangential half fiel...
