Automatically generating traceability links between software development artifacts existing throughout systems development life cycle, is becoming ever more important for requirements traceability. It remains an open software engineering challenge, especially for legacy systems, when the demand for minimizing human intervention is considered. The Vector Space Model (VSM), a notably known inform...

Traceability is demanded within mature development processes and offers a wide range of advantages. Nevertheless, there are deterrents to establishing traceability: it can be painstaking to achieve initially and then subject to almost instantaneous decay. To be effective, this is clearly an investment that should be retained. We therefore focus on reducing the manual effort incurred in performi...

Recently, democratic group signatures(DGSs) particularly catch our attention due to their great flexibilities, i.e., no group manager, anonymity, and individual traceability. In existing DGS schemes, individual traceability says that any member in the group can reveal the actual signer’s identity from a given signature. In this paper, we formally describe the definition of DGS, revisit its secu...

Requirement traceability is intended to ensure continued alignment between stakeholders’ requirements and various outputs of the system development process. Therefore a process for requirement traceability is a significant factor on efficient software project management. Failure to do so will imply in higher costs for maintaining software systems. Methodologies supporting requirement traceabili...

Many information systems are reengineered and redeveloped in practice, since they are legacy software. Typically, no requirements and design specifications exist and, therefore, also no traceability information. While especially the long-term utility of such information is well known, an important question in reengineering is whether installing it can have immediate benefits in the course of th...

Globalization of trade and higher volume flows lead to the necessity of new approaches in design of traceability systems. Since containerization becomes a dominant technique in the general cargo trade and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology have already proven to be effective in traceability systems to get data about physical objects, this paper proposes an integrated approach to R...

These two papers represent the base literature-based Traceability recovery. Specifically, Traceability Recovery represents a key software maintenance activity in which software engineers extract the relationships among software artifacts. Extract and manage traceability between software artifacts is important for software development and maintenance: program comprehension, requirement tracing, ...

traceMAINTAINER is a tool that supports an approach for maintaining post-requirements traceability relations after changes have been made to traced model elements. The update of traceability relations is based upon predefined rules, where each rule is intended to recognize a development activity applied to a model element and trigger the necessary traceability update directives. This means that...

background:confirmation of olive oil authenticity and particularly virgin olive oil has a great importance. several advanced chemical and genetic analyses have been used to monitor especial components; however each has its limitations especially when detecting hazelnut-adulterated olive oil. objectives:the objective of this research is to assess the presence of trace amount of hazelnut oil in o...

In this article, we present a study of the correlation between factorization and the quality criterion of traceability. Our work is based on a set of new factorization metrics and a specific definition of traceability. The results of our experiment show a good correlation between the increase of the factorization of a UML class diagram and its traceability.
