We show that the operational transconductance amplifier (OTA), as the active element in basic bnilding blocks, can be efficiently used for programmable nonlinear continuous-time function synthesis. Two efficient nonlinear function synthesis approaches are presented. The first approach is a ratiossaf approximation and tbe second is a piecewise.linear approach. Test circuits have been fabricated ...
A capacitance multiplier with large multiplication factor, increased accuracy, and class AB operation is presented. The an impedance mode implementation consisting of a Flipped Voltage Follower based on Operational Transconductance Amplifiers (OTA). This gives the possibility to offer rail-to-rail drive demanding loads depending application. In addition, one OTAs designed transconductance gain ...
This paper presents the designing of a fully differential folded cascode operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) with common mode feedback circuit (CMFB). The designed OTA is operated in sub-threshold region to reduce the power consumption. The simulation is carried out in CADENCE environment using 150nm CMOS. The simulation result shows the DC gain of 82 dB with UGBW of 768 KHz, CMRR of 1...
The CA3080 and CA3080A are similar in generic form to conventional operational amplifiers, but differ sufficiently to justify an explanation of their unique characteristics. This new class of operational amplifier not only includes the usual differential input terminals, but also contains an additional control terminal which enhances the device's flexibility for use in a broad spectrum of appli...
The linear range of approximately±75 mV of traditional subthreshold transconductance amplifiers is too small for certain applications—for example, for filters in electronic cochleas, where it is desirable to handle loud sounds without distortion and to have a large dynamic range. We describe a transconductance amplifier designed for low-power (< 1μW) subthreshold operation with a wide input lin...
Designing OECTs to amplify chemical redox reactions reliably requires: (1) separating reaction from the OECT (2) operating potentiometrically (3) utilizing non-polarizable gate electrode (4) maximizing transconductance of channel material.
Despite the simplicity of the hexagonal graphene structure formed by carbon atoms, the electronic behavior shows fascinating properties, giving high expectation for the possible applications of graphene in the field. The Graphene Nano-Ribbon Field Effect Transistor (GNRFET) is an emerging technology that received much attention in recent years. In this paper, we investigate the device performan...
This paper presents a fully differential dualended ultralow-voltage (ULV) FGUVMOS operational transconductance amplifier (FGUVMOS-OTA), and a Gm-C filter where the FGUVMOS-OTA is used. The OTA has no internal nodes, rail-to-rail operation and dynamic load. The cut-off frequency of the Gm-C filter is tunable over more than 5 decades. The circuits may be operated with supply voltages down to 200mV.
A high-performance operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) is proposed. In order to increase DC gain, gain bandwidth, and the slew rate under low standby quiescent current, the proposed OTA has the dynamic output current scaling and class AB operation. Under the condition of 250 A quiescent current and a 30 pF load capacitance with a step voltage from 1.2 to 1.5V at a rise time of 1 nsec i...
It is shown that interface trap states have pronounced effects on carrier transport and parameter extraction from top-gated InAs nanowire field effect transistors NWFETs . Due to slow surface state charging and discharging, the NWFET characteristics are time dependent with time constants as long as 45 s. This is also manifested in a time-dependent extrinsic transconductance that severely affect...
