The glycosylation of 1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-thiones has been performed with peracetylated β-pyranosyl bromide in the presence of potassium carbonate. Deprotection of acetylated thioglycosides was necessary for increasing their antibacterial effects. The structures of nucleosides were confirmed by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and HRMS. The anomeric protons of nucleosides c1-4 were assigned to the doublet, confir...

Abstract Photodegradation of azilsartan produces a phenanthridine derivative, with its molecular structure determined by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. This is confirmed single-crystal X-ray diffraction alternative synthesis. The ring formation explained through the closure an imidoylnitrene intermediate produced decarboxylation 5-oxo-1,2,4-oxadiazole (oxadiazolone).

reactions of n-isocyaniminotriphenylphosphorane with cyclopentanone have been studied in the presence of aromatic carboxylic acids and primary amines, proceeds smoothly at room temperature under neutral conditions to afford sterically congested 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives by an intramolecular aza-wittig cyclization in ch2cl2 in excellent yields. the structures of the products were deduced from...

Psoriasis is a immune mediated disease that affects skin characterized by hyperproliferation and inflammation of the skin. It is the most common chronic inflammatory skin disease, affecting about 2% of the general population. Skin is a major target of oxidative stress due to reactive oxygen species (ROS). This study was aimed to show that ROS play a significant role in pathogenesis of psoriasis...

The British Bangladeshi community is one of the youngest and fastest growing ethnic minority groups in the UK. Many report poor socio-economic and health profiles with the existence of substantial health inequalities, particularly in relation to type 2 diabetes. Although there is compelling evidence for the effectiveness of lifestyle interventions in the prevention of type 2 diabetes, there is ...

Strong fluorescence and amplified spontaneous emissions (ASE) both in solution and aligned ordered solid state were observed from a twin-tapered bi-1,3,4-oxadiazole derivative, which could be used in preparing functional supramolecular architectures with ultralow-threshold ASE.

Inflammation and infection downregulate the activity and expression of cytochrome P450s (P450s) and other drug metabolizing enzymes (DMEs) involved in hepatic drug clearance. Schistosoma mansoni infection was reported to cause a downregulation of hepatic P450-dependent activities in mouse liver, but little is known about the specific enzymes affected or whether phase II DMEs are also affected. ...
