*The superficial medial collateral ligament and other medial knee stabilizers-i.e., the deep medial collateral ligament and the posterior oblique ligament-are the most commonly injured ligamentous structures of the knee. *The main structures of the medial aspect of the knee are the proximal and distal divisions of the superficial medial collateral ligament, the meniscofemoral and meniscotibial ...

The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of the most frequently injured structures during high-impact sporting activities. Gene expression analysis may be a useful tool for understanding ACL tears and healing failure. Reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) has emerged as an effective method for such studies. However, this technique requires the use of suitable...

The authors report a case of a 47-year-old professional driver with an acute, simultaneous tear of patellar tendon and anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). The patient was treated in two stages. Acute patellar tendon repair and delayed (6-month postinjury) ACL reconstruction was performed. The authors discuss the possible mechanism of injury and the rationality of the two-stage surgical treatment.

Abstract Background Measuring the strain patterns of ligaments at various joint positions informs our understanding their function. However, few studies have examined biomechanical properties ankle ligaments; further, tensile each ligament, during motion, not been described. This limitation exists because current sensors are too big to insert within ankle. The present study aimed validate a nov...

The ACL joins the thighbone's (femur) bottom to shinbone's top (tibia). aids in stability of knee. If anterior cruciate ligament is stretched too far, it might rip. tear could be partial (through a section ACL) or full entire (all way through ACL).Objective: To determine grading and evaluation Injuries on Magnetic Resonance Imaging.Material Methods: A Descriptive cross sectional study was condu...

Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury is one of the most common injuries among sports athletes. This caused by a tear in ligament which characterized knee instability and popping “pop” sound after injury. Reconstructing ACL usually done grafting disconnected tissue. Patients reconstruction experience symptoms complications such as pain, decreased joint range motion, muscle weakness. Purpose: ...

Background: The symptoms of rotator cuff tear vary and may even be absent. Thus, the symptoms cannot be explained solely by the presence of rotator cuff tear, and other factors are thought to be involved. Because the rotator cuff comes in contact with the coracoacromial ligament, the elasticity of the ligament may be a factor of the symptoms. The purpose of this study was to clarify the elastic...
