a factorial experiment was conducted for two years in the mahidasht experimental station in kermanshah. the objective of this experiment was to determine the optimum time of nitrogen application on two sugar beet varieties from both, quality and quantity point of views. these varieties, 7233- a diploid and pp22 a polyploidy variety were grown and subjected to five levels of nitrogen application...

Taxonomy and distribution of the genus Pterydrias Reitter, 1895 (Coleoptera: Ripiphoridae: Ripidiinae) are revised. Based on examination of the type material, the genus Pterydrias is confirmed as a senior synonym of the genus Eorhipidius Iablokoff-Khnzorian, 1986. Pterydrias debilis Reitter, 1895 is redescribed and illustrated, and its type locality is corrected to Haifa, Israel. The following ...

Frequency tunable comb resonators have been successfully designed and demonstrated based on a closed-form approach of a curved comb finger contour. Experimentally, the resonant frequency of a laterally driven comb resonator with 186 pairs of curved finger contour has been reduced by 55% from the initial frequency of 19 kHz under a bias voltage of 150 V. The corresponding effective stiffness has...

In this paper, we study the aperiodic comb signal from the point of view of the Fourier Transform. The comb is very important in the theory of ideal sampling. The knowledge of its properties is crucial for the establishment of suitable interpolation schemes. Here, we present sufficient conditions so that the Fourier Transform of an aperiodic comb is an aperiodic comb. We use this result to prop...

We report a mode-locked Ti:sapphire femtosecond laser emitting 42 fs pulses at a 10 GHz repetition rate. When operated with a spectrally integrated average power greater than 1 W, the associated femtosecond laser frequency comb contains approximately 500 modes, each with power exceeding 1 mW. Spectral broadening in nonlinear microstructured fiber yields comb elements with individual powers grea...

The endemic Australian genus Actenomeros Winterton & Irwin, 1999b is reviewed. Three species are transferred from Nanexila Winterton & Irwin, 1999a: Actenomeros aureilineata (Winterton & Irwin, 1999a) comb. n., Actenomeros intermedia (Winterton & Irwin, 1999a) comb. n. and Actenomeros paradoxa (Winterton & Irwin, 1999a) comb. n. A new species (Actenomeros budawangsp. n.) is described and figure...

− We propose ultra stable coherent laser sources based on optical injection locked single mode of the femtosecond fiber laser comb. The source is discretely tunable coherent optical sources by two DFB lasers, which are injection-locked to a respective single mode of the fiber laser comb with the frequency difference of 500 MHz, that is exactly twice of the comb repetition frequency.

Mimadiestra gen. nov. (type species: M. biloba sp. nov.) is described from Thailand. Megadiestramima Storozhenko et Gorochov, 1992 and Leodiestramima Storozhenko, 2009, stat. nov. are considered as separate genera, therefore, three new combinations are proposed: Leodiestramima exculta (Gorochov, 1998), comb. nov., L. lecta (Gorochov, 1998), comb. nov., L. orlovi (Gorochov, 1994), comb. nov. A k...

Diplommatinidae is a family of terrestrial caenogastropod snails that shows extensive species diversity and endemic radiation within the Palau (Belau) Islands. In this paper, we revised the taxonomy of Palauan endemic diplommatinids based on the comparative morphology of shell, operculum, radula, and genitalia. Although the generic classification of Palauan diplommatinids has been confusing, th...

A remarkable synergy has been formed between precision optical frequency metrology and ultrafast laser science. This has resulted in control of the frequency spectrum produced by mode-locked lasers, which consists of a regular “comb” of sharp lines. Such a controlled mode-locked laser is a “femtosecond optical frequency comb generator.” For a sufficiently broad comb, it is straightforward to de...
