جنس ولیک (.Crataegus L) در ایران مورد مطالعه قرار گرفته است. از این جنس جمعاً 22 گونه و 5 هیبرید از ایران تشخیص داده میشود. که 3 گونه زیر بعنوان گونههای جدید معرفی و شرح داده میشود. Crataegus aminii, C. assadii, C. babakhanloui کلید شناسایی گونههای شناخته شده برای ایران ارائه میگردد. والدین هیبریدها مشخص و تفاوت آنها با هیبرید های شناخته شده مقایسه میشود.

دو گونه جدید از تیره های گل سرخ و گاوزبان به نامهای crataegus zagrica از جنوب غربی و heliotropium esfahanicum از مرکز ایران نامگذاری و معرفی می گردند. گونه c. zagrica از کلیه گونه های جنس ولیک در ایران با داشتن کاسه ریزان در زمان میوه متمایز می گردد. گونه h. esfahanicum با گونه h. samoliflorumبا داشتن کرک در داخل جام گل، زایده بین لب های درفشی خمیده و فندقه کرک دار اختلاف دارد.
