Electronic mail (E-mail) is an electronic message system that transmits messages across computer network. Electronic mail is the easiest and most efficient communication tool for disseminating both wanted and unwanted information. There are many efforts under way to stop the increase of spam that plague almost every user on the internet. Managing and deleting scam or unwanted messages pose nega...
Noise filtering is an essential part for measurement of quantum phenomena at extremely low temperatures. Here, we present the design of a filter which can be installed in space constrained cryogenic environment containing a large number of signal carrying lines. Our filters have a -3db point of 65kHz and its performance at GHz frequencies are comparable to the best available RF filters. PACS nu...
We show that generalized coherent states follow Schrödinger dynamics in time-dependent potentials. The normalized wave-packets follow a classical evolution without spreading; in turn, the Schrödinger potential depends on the state through the classical trajectory. This feedback mechanism with continuous dynamical re-adjustement allows the packets to remain coherent indefinetely. PACS numbers: 0...
Journalists from U.S. daily newspapers responded to a national survey focusing on the credibility of electronic mail use in newsgathering. Factor analysis produced a six dimension solution. The dominant factor was accuracy, but other factors included completeness, sociability, clarity, timeliness, and techno-complexity. Journalists expressed concern for the perceived lack of accuracy and comple...
In February 1997, the Emerging Infections Network (EIN) established an electronic mail conference to facilitate discussions about emerging infectious diseases and related topics among its members and public health officials. Later that year, the EIN opened its section of the Infectious Diseases Society of America's home page. The EIN Web page was developed to give its members an alternative rou...
Electronic mail (e-mail) is an under-utilised resource of information and knowledge. It could be an important part of the larger so-called organisational memory (OM)—if it were not so disorganised and fragmented. The OM contains the knowledge of the organisation’s employees, written records, and data. This thesis is about organising and managing information in, and about, e-mail so as to make i...
