Using the fixed point method, we establish a generalized Ulam Hyers stability result for the monomial functional equation in the setting of complete random p-normed spaces. As a particular case, we obtain a new stability theorem for monomial functional equations in β-normed spaces.

The stability problem of functional equations was originated from a question of Ulam [66] concerning the stability of group homomorphisms: Let (G1, .) be a group and let (G2, ∗) be a metric group with the metric d(., .). Given ε > 0, does there exist a δ > 0, such that if a mapping h : G1 → G2 satisfies the inequality d(h(x1.x2), h(x1) ∗ h(x2)) < δ for all x1, x2 ∈ G1, then there exists a homom...

Let A be an algebra and let X be an A-bimodule. A C−linear mapping d : A → X is called a generalized Jordan derivation if there exists a Jordan derivation (in the usual sense) δ : A → X such that d(a) = ad(a) + δ(a)a for all a ∈ A. The main purpose of this paper to prove the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability and superstability of the generalized Jordan derivations.

In 1940, Ulam [1] proposed the following stability problem: “When is it true that a function which satisfies some functional equation approximatelymust be close to one satisfying the equation exactly?” Next year, Hyers [2] gave an answer to this problem for additive mappings between Banach spaces. Furthermore, Aoki [3] and Rassias [4] obtained independently generalized results of Hyers’ theorem...

The question concerning the stability of group homomorphisms was posed by Ulam 1 . Hyers 2 solved the case of approximately additive mappings on Banach spaces. Aoki 3 provided a generalization of the Hyers’ theorem for additive mappings. In 4 , Rassias generalized the result of Hyers for linear mappings by allowing the Cauchy difference to be unbounded see also 5 . The result of Rassias has bee...

An elastic beam equation (EBEq) described by a fourth-order fractional difference is proposed in this work with three-point boundary conditions involving the Riemann–Liouville operator. New sufficient ensuring solutions’ existence and uniqueness of problem are established. The findings obtained employing properties discrete equations, Banach contraction, Brouwer fixed-point theorems. Further, w...

In this article, we introduce the multi-$m$-Jensen mappings and characterize them as a single equation. Using a fixed point theorem, we study the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability for such mappings. As a consequence, we show that every multi-$m$-Jensen mappings (under some conditions) is hyperstable.

The generalized Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability proposition in respect of the quadratic functional equation namely f(x+y+z)+f(x−y)+f(x−z) = f(x−y−z)+f(x+y)+f(x+z) is what is taken into account to be dealt with in this paper.
