introduction: soil structural stability affects the profitability and sustainability of agricultural systems. particle size distribution (psd) and aggregate stability are the important characteristics of soil. aggregate stability has a significant impact on the development of the root system, water and carbon cycle and soil resistance against soil erosion. soil aggregate stability, defined as t...

seismic retrofit strategies have been developed in the past few decades following the introduction of new seismic provisions and the availability of advanced materials and methods. it can be observed that new approaches to deal with more lateral forces are more innovative and more energy absorbent. in line with this, there is a growing trend toward the use of steel shear walls as a system with ...

It is well-known that the second smallest eigenvalue 22 of the difference Laplacian matrix of a graph G is related to the expansion properties of G. A more detailed analysis of this relation is given. Upper and lower bounds on the diameter and the mean distance in G in terms of 22 are derived.

The objective of the study was to determine geometric, gravimetric, aerodynamic, and frictional properties maize grain as affected by varietal differences moisture content. Honampa, Omankwa, Abontem, Timtim, Obatanpa were five varieties studied. Moisture content, geometric properties, gravimetric aerodynamic mean diameters ranged between 6.65 7.55 mm, while projected areas 52.98 73.12 m2. surfa...

Background Left-ventricular (LV) shape remodeling has known association with cardiac pathophysiology and dysfunction. While a prolate spheroid shape is vital for optimal cardiac function, LV dilatation and high sphericity is characteristic of cardiomyopathy. Early quantification of abnormal LV morphology may potentially guide clinical decisions to check disease progression. However a quantitati...
