In this paper we introduce a basic representation for the confluent Cherednik algebras HV, HIII, H7 III and H D8 III defined in arXiv:1307.6140. To prove faithfulness of this basic representation, we introduce the non-symmetric versions of the continuous dual qHahn, Al-Salam–Chihara, continuous big q-Hermite and continuous q-Hermite polynomials.
We derive the generalized Hermite interpolation by using the contour integral and extend the generalized Hermite interpolation to obtain the sampling expansion involving derivatives for band-limited functions f , that is, f is an entire function satisfying the following growth condition |f(z)| ≤ A exp(σ|y|) for some A, σ > 0 and any z = x + iy ∈ C.
Based on the smoothness criterion of minimum curvature variation of the curve, tangent angle constraints guaranteeing an optimized geometric Hermite (OGH) curve both mathematically and geometrically smooth is given, and new methods for constructing composite optimized geometric Hermite (COH) curves are presented in this paper. The comparison of the new methods with Yong and Cheng’s methods base...
We develop an algorithm for calculating Hermite-Humbert constants of real quadratic fields K with class number one. It reduces the necessary amount of computations considerably and could therefore be used for the calculation of two new Hermite-Humbert constants of the fields Q( √ 6), Q( √ 21), respectively. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 11Y40; 11H55; 11R11
A phase-space description of the Laguerre-Gaussian modes is presented that points out the connection between these modes and the Hermite-Gaussian modes. We exploit the underlying phase-space symmetries to derive a closed-form expression for the Wigner distribution function of Laguerre-Gaussian modes. This expression is as compact as the one for the Hermite-Gaussian modes.
We present a convergent asymptotic formula for the zeros of the Hermite functions as λ → ∞. It is based on an integral formula due to the authors for the derivative of such a zero with respect to λ. We compare our result with those for zeros of Hermite polynomials given by P. E. Ricci.
The new method for obtaining a variety of extensions of Hermite polynomials is given. As a first example a family of orthogonal polynomial systems which includes the generalized Hermite polynomials is considered. Apparently, either these polynomials satisfy the differential equation of the second order obtained in this work or there is no differential equation of a finite order for these polyno...
For a generalized Hermite sinosiodal / hyperbolic Gaussian beam passing through an ABCD system with a finite aperture, the propagation properties are derived using the Collins integral. The results are obtained in the form of intensity graphs indicating that previously demonstrated rules of reciprocity are applicable, while the existence of the aperture accelerates this transformation. Exceptional orthogonal polynomials were introduced by Gomez-Ullate, Kamran and Milson as polynomial eigenfunctions of second order differential equations with the remarkable property that some degrees are missing, i.e., there is not a polynomial for every degree. However, they do constitute a complete orthogonal system with respect to a weight function that is typically a rational modification ...
