In this article, we introduce the concept of co-covering which is the dual of covering concept. Then, we prove several theorems being similar to the theorems that have been de-veloped for the covering concept. For example, we provide the lifting criterion for co-coverings of a topological space X, which helps us to classify them by subgroups of the group of all homeomorphisms of X.
Human social activities are realized by a synergy of neuronal activity over various regions the brain, which is supported their connectivity. In present study, we examined associations between activities, represented work hours, and brain connectivity as quantified using diffusion tensor imaging (DTI). 483 healthy participants, DTI analysis was performed 3 T magnetic resonance imaging, hours we...
Databases catalogue the corpus of research literature into scientific categories and report classes of bibliometric data such as the number of citations to articles, the number of authors, journals, funding agencies, institutes, references, etc. The number of articles and citations in a category are gauges of productivity and scientific impact but a quantitative basis to compare researchers bet...
Neural network models of categorical perception (compression of within-category similarity and dilation of between-category differences) are applied to the symbol-grounding problem (of how to connect symbols with meanings) by connecting analog sensorimotor projections to arbitrary symbolic representations via learned category-invariance detectors in a hybrid symbolic/nonsymbolic system. Our net...
From robotic toil to symbolic theft: grounding transfer from entry-level to higher-level categories1

Selecting visual information from cluttered real-world scenes involves the matching of visual input to the observer's attentional set--an internal representation of objects that are relevant for current behavioral goals. When goals change, a new attentional set needs to be instantiated, requiring the suppression of the previous set to prevent distraction by objects that are no longer relevant. ...
giant unilamellar vesicles (guvs) consisting in self-closed lipid bilayers of 0.5-100 µm diameter are considered as oversimplified models of cells because of their biological membrane and micrometric size while large unilamellar vesicles (luvs) of 100-500 nm diameter have applications in drug delivery. to improve structural and mechanical properties of these vesicles, we have developed two cate...
The success of the Linux operating system has demonstrated the viability of an alternative form of software development – open source software – that challenges traditional assumptions about software markets. Understanding what drives open source developers to participate in open source projects is crucial for assessing the impact of open source software. This article identifies two broad types...
A 2-categorical generalisation of the notion of elementary topos is provided, and some of the properties of the yoneda structure [SW78] it generates are explored. Results enabling one to exhibit objects as cocomplete in the sense definable within a yoneda structure are presented. Examples relevant to the globular approach to higher dimensional category theory are discussed. This paper also cont...
