In this paper, the concepts of fuzzy translation to fuzzy subalgebras in BGalgebras are introduced. The notion of fuzzy extensions and fuzzy multiplications of fuzzy subalgebras are introduced and several related properties are investigated. In this paper, the relationships between fuzzy translations and fuzzy extensions of fuzzy subalgebras are investigated.

Let I be a small indexing category, G : I → Cat be a functor and BG ∈ Cat denote the Grothendieck construction on G. We define and study Quillen pairs between the category of diagrams of simplicial sets (resp. categories) indexed on BG and the category of I-diagrams over N(G) (resp. G). As an application we obtain a Quillen equivalence between the categories of presheaves of simplicial sets (re...

When a document is fed to a scanner either mechanically or by a human operator for digitization, it suffers from some degrees of skew or tilt. Skew angle detection is an important component of any Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Document Analysis System. In this paper we present a novel skew estimation technique for document images. The method uses Boundary Growing (BG) technique, Thinn...

We consider brave new cochain extensions F (BG+, R) −→ F (EG+, R), where R is either a Lubin-Tate spectrum En or the related 2-periodic Morava K-theory Kn, and G is a finite group. When R is an Eilenberg-Mac Lane spectrum, in some good cases such an extension is a G-Galois extension in the sense of John Rognes, but not always faithful. We prove that for En and Kn these extensions are always fai...

For a Lie group G, we are looking for a right principal G-bundle EG → BG, with EG contractible. Such a bundle is universal in the topological setting: if E → B is any principal G-bundle, then there is a map B → BG, unique up to homotopy, such that E is isomorphic to the pullback of EG. See [Hus75] for the existence of these universal principal bundles; we will not need the general story here. W...

In this paper we consider the degree theory for a mapping f from an oriented compact connected manifold X to a oriented, compact, connected manifold Y of the same dimension and some elementary problems of fixed points. 1. Topological degree on manifolds. There are many approaches to the introduction of the notion of degree and the background involved in each of them may differ considerably. We b...

The basic problem of homotopy theory is to classify spaces and maps between spaces, up to homotopy, by means of invariants like cohomology. In the last decade some striking progress has been made with this problem when the spaces involved are classifying spaces of compact Lie groups. For example, it has been shown, for G connected and simple, that if two self maps of BG agree in rational cohomo...

French L2 Learners of German (FG) often replace the palatal fricative /ç/ absent in French with the post alveolar fricative /S/. In our study we investigate which cues can be used to distinguish whether FG speakers produce [S] or [ç] in words with the final syllables /IS/ or /Iç/. In literature of German as an L2, to our knowledge, this contrast has not yetbeen studied. In this perspective, we ...

BACKGROUND Psychosocial work characteristics may predict cognitive functioning after retirement. However, little research has explored specific cognitive domains associated with psychosocial work environments. Our study tested whether exposure to job demands, job control and their combination during working life predicted post-retirement performance on eight cognitive tests. METHODS We used d...
