We present an analysis of the decayD0→K+π− based on FOCUS data. From a sample of 234 signal events, we find a branching ratio of Γ(D →Kπ) Γ(D0→K−π+) = (0.429 − 0.061 ± 0.027)% under the assumptions of no mixing and no CP violation. Allowing for CP violation, we find a branching ratio of (0.429 ± 0.063 ± 0.028)% and a CP asymmetry of 0.18± 0.14± 0.04. The branching ratio for the case of mixing w...

We present the latest measurements on masses, lifetimes and branching fractions for the Bs and Bc mesons as well as for b-baryons. For the Bs meson we discuss as well the latest results on mixing. These results were produced by the CDF and D0 experiments at Fermilab or by earlier LEP and PEPII experiments.

Mixing dependency lengths from sequences of different length is a common practice in language research. However, the empirical distribution of dependency lengths of sentences of the same length differs from that of sentences of varying length. The distribution of dependency lengths depends on sentence length for real sentences and also under the null hypothesis that dependencies connect vertice...

A brief description is given of BTeV a proposed program at the Fermilab collider sited at the C0 intersection region. The main goals are measurement of mixing, CP violation and rare decays in both the b and charm systems. The detector is a two arm forward-backward spectrometer capable of triggering on detached vertices and dileptons, and possessing excellent particle identification, electron, p...

In his classical paper [28] P. R. Halmos shows that weak mixing is generic in the measure preserving transformations. Later, in his book [29], he gave a more streamlined proof of this fact based on a fundamental lemma due to V. A. Rohlin. For this reason the name of Rohlin has been attached to a variety of results, old and new, relating to the density of conjugacy classes in topological groups....

This paper proposes an automatic DJ mixing method that can automate the processes of real world DJs and describes a prototype for a fully automatic DJ mix-like playing system. Our goal is to achieve a fully automatic DJ mixing system that can preserve overall user comfort level during DJ mixing. In this paper, we assume that the difference between the original and adjusted songs is the main cau...

The decay mode Bs → ψK ∗ is suggested as a very good way to measure the Bs mixing parameter xs. These decays can be gathered using a ψ → l l trigger. This final state has a well resolved four track decay vertex, useful for good time resolution and background rejection.
