background and aims: to evaluate the effect of temperature on wheat streak mosaic virus (wsmv) resistance phenotype, through total protein, phenol, and peroxidase activity in bread wheat, a factorial experiment was conducted using adl-cross (resistant) and marvdasht (susceptible) cultivars. materials and methods: results showed that incubation at 32c changed the gene expression for resistance ...

In this paper a novel approach for artificial mosaic generation is proposed. Gradient Vector Flow computation together with heuristics to maximise the covered mosaic area are used. The high frequency details are managed in a global way allowing to preserve the mosaic-style also for small ones. Experiments and comparisons with previous works confirm the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

RNA of a common strain of tobacco mosaic virus was sequentially reconstituted first with protein of the same strain and then with protein of a tomato strain. The reconstituted particles were treated with specific antibodies against the two strain particles and were examined electron microscopically to locate the regions of rods encapsidated with the respective proteins. The results demonstrated...

The Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) suppressor 2b co-localizes with AGO4 in cytoplasmic and nuclear fractions of Arabidopsis thaliana Biochemical fractionation of A. thaliana cellular extracts revealed that 2b and AGO4 coexist in multiple size exclusions. 2b transgenic A. thaliana exhibited an enhanced accumulation of 24nt siRNAs from flowering wageningen (FWA) and other heterochromatic loci. These...

Nuclei isolated from cauliflower mosaic virus (CaMV) infected turnip leaves contain subgenomic CaMV DNA species in addition to the genome length CaMV DNA. These subgenomic CaMV DNA species are present as covalently closed circles (form I), relaxed circles (form II) and linear (form III) molecules. The subgenomic form I DNA species range in size from about 10% of genome length to nearly genome l...

The in vitro reconstitution of tobacco mosaic virus from its RNA and protein subunits1' 2 has presaged the in vitro assembly of structurally more complex viruses like T4,3 P22,4 and X5 bacteriophages from various component parts. Here we give a detailed report of experiments4 demonstrating the efficient in vitro assembly of P22 bacteriophage whose DNA is normally contained in a polyhedral head ...

24.1 Making mosaics A mosaic is an assembly of tiny tiles, all different. When the tiles are carefully composed, positioned and angled, they will make a figure. They can be tiny personal pieces of craft, or vast and stunning public pieces of art, such as the mosaic on the ceiling of the Basilica di San Marco in Venice. In either case, every tile contributes to making the whole mosaic. In this b...

Full-length cDNAs of barley mild mosaic bymovirus RNA1 and RNA2 were cloned downstream of a modified cauliflower mosaic virus 35S promoter with double enhancer. Mechanical inoculation of barley seedlings with a mixture of both cDNAs resulted in systemic mosaic symptoms, typical of barley mild mosaic virus infection. The presence of both RNA species and their gene products in the systemically in...

We are studying the geometry of a 360 x 360 mosaic image formation. A 360 x 360 mosaic camera model and a calibration procedure are proposed. It is shown that only one point correspondence is needed in order to acquire epipolarily rectified images. The 360 x 360 mosaic camera model is therefore determined by only one intrinsic parameter. It is shown that the relation between coordinates estimat...

A satellite object can consist of more than one mosaic image. To extract any object from remote sensing satellite images, mosaic images need to be stitched. It is critical problem that which mosaics will be selected for image stitching among big mosaic dataset. In this paper, we propose two approaches to overcome mosaic selection problem by means of finding rectangular sub regions intersecting ...
