A reduced order multiport modeling algorithm based on the decomposition of the system transfer matrix into orthogonal scaled Laguerre functions is proposed. The link with Padé approximation, the block Arnoldi method and singular value decomposition leads to a simple and stable implementation of the algorithm.

The Time-Domain Vector Fitting (TD-VF) algorithm for macromodeling of linear multiport systems is presented. A rational approximation for the system matrix transfer function is easily derived from transient input/output port responses. Several validations illustrate the high accuracy of the method.

We investigate experimentally the interaction of two-dimensional solitary beams in photorefractive strontium barium niobate crystal. We show that simultaneous collision of many solitons can result in complete annihilation of some of them.
