Online calibration is desired in antenna arrays of ultrawide bandwidth. This study proposes a time domain method based on the simultaneous perturbation algorithm. Two objective functions were established: power received signal at array output; or combination and correlation coefficient between output target signal. For both criteria, convergence settings require only two measurements each itera...

ant colony optimisation (aco) algorithm and adaptive refinement mechanism are used in this paper for solution of optimization problems. many of the real engineering problems are، however، of continuous nature and finding their solution by discrete ant based algorithms requires discretisation of the decision variables in which affected the convergence and performance of the algorithm. in this pa...

In this paper, we propose an iterative algorithm to address the nonconvex multi-group multicast beamforming problem with quality-of-service constraints and per-antenna power constraints. We formulate a convex relaxation of as semidefinite program in real Hilbert space, which allows us approximate point feasible set by iteratively applying bounded perturbation resilient fixed-point mapping. Insp...

We describe an iterative method that extracts the underlying soliton from a noisy pulse. The method is formulated as a functional iteration: at each step, the soliton component of the difference between the noisy pulse and the current underlying soliton is determined via soliton perturbation theory; this is then added to the soliton, and the process is repeated. We show that this iteration conv...

We consider the numerical solution of the free boundary Bernoulli problem by employing level set formulations. Using a perturbation technique, we derive a second order method that leads to a fast iteration solver. The iteration procedure is adapted in order to work in the case of topology changes. Various numerical experiments confirm the efficiency of the derived numerical method.

This paper deals with implementation of Sinusoidal Pulse-Width-Modulation (SPWM) for a single-phase hybrid power filter generator for Photovoltaic (PV) and wind grid applications. Using policy iteration algorithm, an improved variable step-size perturbation and observation algorithm is contrived and it is implemented proficiently using a hard-ware description language (VHDL) (Very High Speed In...

This paper proposes an effective multi-objective differential evolution algorithm (MDES) to solve a permutation flow shop scheduling problem (PFSSP) with modified Dejong's learning effect. The proposed algorithm combines the basic differential evolution (DE) with local search and borrows the selection operator from NSGA-II to improve the general performance.  First the problem is encoded with a...
