We propose a new method to describe the interacting bose gas at zero temperature. For three-dimensional system the correction to the groundstate energy in density is reproduced. For two-dimensional dilute bose gas the groundstate energy in the leading order in the parameter | ln α2ρ|−1 where α is a scattering length is obtained.

We present systematic studies on the absolute density of hydrogen cluster beams produced by using Laval-nozzles. Measurements of the cluster beam density as function of the nozzle temperature and the gas input pressure result in maximum cluster beam densities for cases where the gas is already in a supersaturated state before passing the nozzle. The influence of the gas flow through the nozzle ...

We report in situ measurements of density fluctuations in a quasi-one-dimensional 87Rb Bose gas at thermal equilibrium in an elongated harmonic trap. We observe an excess of fluctuations compared to the shot-noise level expected for uncorrelated atoms. At low atomic density, the measured excess is in good agreement with the expected "bunching" for an ideal Bose gas. At high density, the measure...

In the gas drilling design, accurate prediction of wellbore temperature profile is very crucial. Different from liquid fluid, physical and thermophysical parameters gases are sensitive to change pressure temperature, at same time, these will react against pressure. Based on energy conservation principle, a temperature-pressure coupling calculation model was established predict during process. T...

A two dimensional lattice gas model with ”core-softened” potential is investigated. Two liquid phases and density anomaly are found. The demixing phase transition between the two liquid phases end at a tricritical point that is also the terminus of a critical line. The density anomaly is related to this continuous line.

We quantify the notion of a dense soliton gas by establishing an upper bound for the integrated density of states of the quantum-mechanical Schrödinger operator associated with the Korteweg-de Vries soliton gas dynamics. As a by-product of our derivation, we find the speed of sound in the soliton gas with Gaussian spectral distribution function.

We present a new local density functional, called M06-L, for main-group and transition element thermochemistry, thermochemical kinetics, and noncovalent interactions. The functional is designed to capture the main dependence of the exchange-correlation energy on local spin density, spin density gradient, and spin kinetic energy density, and it is parametrized to satisfy the uniform-electron-gas...

The time lapse gravity method is a widely used technique to monitor the subsurface density changes in time and space. In hydrocarbon reservoirs, the density variations are due to different factors, such as: substitution of fluids with high density contrast, water influx, gas injection, and the variation in reservoir geomechanical behavior. Considering the monitoring of saturation changes in the...
