Hybrid Concrete focused on the development of buildings, highways, and other structures of civil engineering. In the current study, various mix combinations have been prepared and tested with different percentages of super-plasticizer at different levels of water reduction for obtaining the optimum mix. Further, study on different properties of hybrid concrete and replacement of ordinary portla...

This research was undertaken to investigate performance of high-strength concrete incorporating mineral admixtures, fly ash and silica fume. For modern construction, the use of new construction materials is increasing to achieve economy and improved final results. An extensive literature search was carried out to review various engineering properties of high-strength concrete. In this study, th...

BACKGROUND We conducted a nested case-control study in a cohort of European asphalt workers in which an increase in lung cancer risk has been reported among workers exposed to airborne bitumen fume, although potential bias and confounding were not fully addressed. OBJECTIVE We investigated the contribution of exposure to bitumen, other occupational agents, and tobacco smoking to the risk of l...

Polymer modified concrete (PMC) consists of Portland cement concrete with a polymer modifier. Its advantages are proper bonding strength to substrate concrete, high tensile and flexural strength and low amount of shrinkage and permeability. Using PMC overlays can be considered as a method for preservation of damaged concrete structures due to their suitable performance and durability. In this r...

Self-compacting concrete (SCC) is a high-performance widely used as building material. The present investigation examines the effects of age and cooling type (air-cooled water-cooled) SCC after being exposed to elevated temperatures compares them those normal conventional (NCC). Two types concrete; i.e., NCC SCC, were developed studied for early-age residual strengths. was with three different ...
