We studied the structural evolution and cycling behavior of TiNb2O7 (TNO) as a cathode in nonaqueous hybrid dual-salt Mg–Li battery. A very high fraction pseudocapacitive contribution to overall specific capacity makes material suitable for ultrafast operation battery, composed Mg-metal anode, APC–LiCl electrolyte with Li Mg cations. Theoretical calculations show that intercalation is predomina...

Current research focuses on designing fast trajectories to the trans-Neptunian object (TNO) (90377) Sedna study surface and composition from a close range. Studying distance can provide unique data about Solar System evolution process including protoplanetary disc related mechanisms. The are determined considering flight time total characteristic velocity (${\Delta}V$) constraints. of for analy...

Ecologically extreme habitats at a species’ distribution edges bear significance for biota under adverse climatic conditions and climate change. Range-edge populations adjust their functional traits to the special local ecological conditions, leading increased intraspecific variability in morpho-anatomical structure and, consequently, favor population survival absence of competitors. On basis w...

Sedna is the first inner Oort cloud object to be discovered. Its dynamical origin remains unclear, and a possible mechanism is considered here. We investigate the parameter space of a hypothetical solar companion which could adiabatically detach the perihelion of a Neptune dominated TNO with a Sedna-like semimajor axis. Demanding that the TNO’s maximum value of osculating perihelion exceed Sedn...

I describe the detection of 201 highly significant dips in the count rate of Sco X-1 from a search of some 500 ks of archival RXTE PCA data, which could be caused by TNO occultations. I show that most of these dips are correlated with particle showers in the PCA, suggesting that the dips in count rate result from large amounts of charge built up in the detectors. From the distribution of partic...
