We summarize some recent results of vortex motion control and vortex kinetic friction. (1) We describe a device [J.E. Villegas, S. Savel’ev, F. Nori, E.M. Gonzalez, J.V. Anguita, R. Garcı̀a, J.L. Vicent, Science 302 (2003) 1188] that can easily control the motion of flux quanta in a Niobium superconducting film on an array of nanoscale triangular magnets. Even though the input ac current has zer...
This paper describes an experimental, theoretical model and numerical study of concentrated vortex flow past a sphere in a hydraulic check valve. The phenomenon of the rotation of the ball around the axis of the device through which liquid flows has been found. That is, due to the rotation of the sphere in the check valve vibration is caused. We observe the rotation of the sphere around the lon...
published in lournal ofAutomatic Chemistry, Vol. 12, No. 6. not readily accepted because the apparatus was unreliable. However, the use of Bondelut cartridges was becoming increasingly popular and was the obvious next target for robotic automation. At this point, the decision was made to develop robotic systems, capable of executing any of our liquidor solidphase extraction methods. Also, singl...
We propose a hybrid magnonic-oscillator system based on the combination of spin transfer auto-oscillator and magnonic waveguide to open new perspectives for spin-wave circuits. The is composed oscillator vortex state which dipolarly coupled nanoscale with longitudinal magnetization. In its auto-oscillating regime, emits coherent waves tunable controllable frequencies, directions, amplitudes int...
We study vortex knotting in the Faddeev-Skyrme model. Starting with a straight vortex line twisted around its axis we follow its evolution under dissipative energy minimization dynamics. With low twist per unit length the vortex forms a helical coil, but with higher twist numbers the vortex becomes knotted or a ring is formed around the vortex. Steady, inviscid, axisymmetric vortex ows past a sphere are obtained numerically as solutions of a partial di erential equation for the stream function. The solutions found include vortex rings, bounded vortices attached to the sphere and in nite vortex tubes. Four families of attached vortices are described: vortex wakes behind the sphere, spherically annular vortices surrounding the spherical...
