Gamelia bennetti sp. nov. is described from Trinidad, Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies, compared with members of the abas species group: G. (Cramer, [1775]), berliozi Lemaire, 1967, lichyi 1973, rubriluna (Walker, 1862) septentrionalis (Bouvier, 1936). A photographic record suggests may also occur in Tobago.
