The streaming instability provides an efficient way of overcoming the growth barriers in initial stages planet formation process. Considering realistic case a particle size distribution, dynamics system is altered compared to outcome single models. In order understand multispecies detail, we perform large parameter study terms number, range, metallicity, and scale height. We vertically stratifi...

Isolation, cultivation, and characterization of the intestinal microorganisms are important for understanding the comprehensive physiology of the human gastrointestinal (GI) tract microbiota. Here, we isolated two novel bacterial strains, YIT 12067(T) and YIT 12068, from the feces of healthy human adults. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that they belonged to the same species and were most close...

Arid ecosystems are strongly limited by water availability, and precipitation plays a major role in the dynamics of all species arid regions, as well ecosystem processes that occur there. However, understanding how biotic interactions mediate long-term responses dryland to rainfall remains very fragmented. We report on unique large-scale field experiment spanning 25 yr three trophic levels (pla...

By using unitarized two-loop chiral perturbation theory partial waves to describe pion-pion scattering we find that the dominant component of the lightest scalar meson does not follow the qq dependence on the number of colors that, in contrast, is obeyed by the lightest vectors. The method suggests that a subdominant qq component of the f0(600) possibly originates around 1 GeV.

Insect herbivores and fungal pathogens can independently affect plant fitness, and may have interactive effects. However, few studies have experimentally quantified the joint effects of insects and fungal pathogens on seed production in non-agricultural populations. We examined the factorial effects of insect herbivore exclusion (via insecticide) and fungal pathogen exclusion (via fungicide) on...

The evolution of bacterial consortia was studied in six semi-solid rye sourdoughs during long-term backslopping at different temperatures. Each rye sourdough was started spontaneously in a laboratory (dough yield 200), propagated at either 20°C or 30°C, and renewed daily at an inoculation rate of 1∶10 for 56 days. The changes in bacterial diversity over time were followed by both DGGE coupled w...

Systemic autoimmune diseases are frequently associated with clustering of high titer autoantibody responses towards nuclear self-antigens. Little is known, however, about the extent of immune tolerance to the target nuclear antigens or the events leading to the complex autoantibody responses that are characteristic of systemic autoimmunity. To address these issues, we have examined the mouse im...

UNLABELLED Broadly targeted cellular immune responses are thought to be important for controlling replication of human and simian immunodeficiency viruses (HIV and SIV). However, eliciting such responses by vaccination is complicated by immunodominance, the preferential targeting of only a few of the many possible epitopes of a given antigen. This phenomenon may be due to the coexpression of do...
