Moisture is known to affect sand cohesion and therefore transport threshold rate of aeolian transport. Aeolian has been widely documented for dry beds, but much more sparsely in the context moist beds. One major challenge collection reliable field or laboratory data have an accurate control moisture level within bed, which prone strongly vary over time space due evaporation. To suppress variabi...
Aeolian transport is an important mechanism for the transport of sand on Earth and on Mars. Dust and sand storms are common occurrences on Mars and windblown sand is responsible for many of the observed surface features, such as dune fields. A better understanding of Aeolian transport could also lead to improvements in pneumatic conveying of materials to be mined for life support on the surface...
Transverse aeolian ridges (TARs) are poorly understood relict Martian surface features. Processes that create TARs not well-constrained, and understanding their formation is complicated since they appear to share some features of ripples, megaripples, dunes. While evidence multi-stage TAR has been documented in Nirgal Vallis, here we present additional for this process at nine locations on Mars...
background many industrial devices have an excessive vibration which can affect human body systems. the effect of vibration on cochlear histology has been as a debatable problem in occupational health and medicine. objectives due to limitation present in human studies, the research was conducted to survey the influence of vibration on cochlear histology in an animal model. materials and methods...
vibration generated by vehicles during road transport has an important effect on the agricultural products damage process, particularly vegetable and fruit. modulus of elasticity is one of the most important mechanical properties of fruits and its variation can be described as one of the damage criteria during transportation. this research was conducted to evaluate the effects of vibration para...
We study the initial instability of flat sand surface and further nonlinear dynamics of wind ripples. The proposed continuous model of ripple formation allowed us to simulate the development of a typical asymmetric ripple shape and the evolution of a sand ripple pattern. We suggest that this evolution occurs via ripple merger preceded by several soliton-like interaction of ripples.
