The reliability of three new template matching techniques for detecting ventricular tachycardia (VT) using intracardiac waveform morphology was assessed using nonparametric tolerance intervals. These new techniques, the bin area method (BAM) , the normalized area of difference (NAD), and the derivative area method (DAM), were compared with correlation waveform analysis (CWA), an established met...

[1] The Mw 6.6, 26 December 2003 Bam (Iran) earthquake was one of the first earthquakes for which Envisat advanced synthetic aperture radar (ASAR) data were available. Using interferograms and azimuth offsets from ascending and descending tracks, we construct a three-dimensional displacement field of the deformation due to the earthquake. Elastic dislocation modeling shows that the observed def...

Starting from a modular artificial neural system modelling the integration of several perceptive stimuli, this article proposes a new implementation of the central module performing a multimodal associative memory. A Bidirectional Associative Memory (BAM) has been emulated in temporal coding with spiking neurons. Since input patterns are dynamically encoded, the effects of the latency of evocat...

Um im Wettbewerb zu bestehen, müssen Unternehmen ihre durch Anwendungssysteme (semi-) automatisierten Geschäftsprozesse flexibel ändern können. Hier sind u.a.

It is argued in this paper that the latest UK government white paper on public health, Choosing Health, is vulnerable to a charge of paternalism. For some years libertarians have levelled this charge at public health policies. The white paper tries to avoid it by constant reference to informed choice and choice related terms. The implication is that the government aims only to inform the public...

Autotransporter biogenesis is dependent upon BamA, a central component of the β-barrel assembly machinery (BAM) complex. In this report, we detail the role of the other BAM components (BamB-E). We identify the importance of BamD in autotransporter biogenesis and show that BamB, BamC, and BamE are not required.

In this paper, a five-neuron bidirectional associative memory (BAM) neural network with two time delays is studied. Since the study of Hopf bifurcation is very important for the design and application of BAM neural networks, we investigate that Hopf bifurcation occurs and a family of periodic solutions appear when the sum of two delays passes through a critical value.

In this paper, a generalized model of bi-directional associative memory (BAM) neural networks delays and impulses is investigated. By constructing suitable Lyapunov functional, Halanaly differential inequality and M -matrix theory, some sufficient conditions for global exponential stability of generalized BAM neural networks with delays and impulses are obtained. An examples are given to show t...
