In the title water-solvated salt, C(21)H(22)P(+)·Br(-)·H(2)O, the ionic components are linked by short C-H⋯Br contacts along the a-axis direction. The two half occupied water mol-ecules are connected to each other by strong O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and they are also linked to the bromide anion by short O-H⋯Br contacts.

The title compound, C(7)H(10)NO(+)·Br(-), consists of almost planar 4-methoxy-anilinium cations, wherein the O atom lies 0.049 (3) Å out of the plane formed by the non-H atoms, and a Br(-) anion. Strong N-H⋯Br and N-H⋯(Br,Br) hydrogen bonding contributes to the stability of the crystal structure and links the cations and anions into a three-dimensional network.

In the crystal structure of the title hydrated bromide salt, C(20)H(20)P(+)·Br(-)·2H(2)O, O-H⋯Br and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds as well as C-H⋯Br contacts connect the different components into a three-dimensional network. In the cation, the aromatic rings make dihedral angles of 55.24 (5), 76.16 (4) and 85.68 (4)°.

Vapor-liquid equilibrium and density measurements have been performed on 1.00-5.89 m tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB) in mixtures of 2-propanoland water. The VLE experiments were performed using a modified Othmer still a t ambient pressure. The effect of salt on the relative volatility of 2-propanol was evaluated at molalities of 1.00,1.79, and 5.89 over the full range of solvent composition. ...

The title compound, Cs(3)(Mo(2)O(7))Br, was synthesized by the reaction of CsNO(3), MoO(3) and 1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazolium bromide. Its crystal structure is isotypic with K(3)(Mo(2)O(7))Br and contains (MoO(4))(2-) tetra-hedra which share an O atom to produce a [Mo(2)O(7)](2-) dimolybdate(VI) anion with a linear bridging angle and m2 symmetry. The anions are linked by Cs atoms (site symmetry m...

Potassium bromide, phenobarbital, or a combination of both is commonly used in the treatment of canine epilepsy. Several cases of clinical pancreatitis have been reported in dogs after treatment with potassium bromide, but the risk of elevated serum canine pancreatic lipase immunoreactivity concentrations in dogs treated with potassium bromide and/or phenobarbital has not previously been evalua...

OBJECTIVE To compare efficacy and safety of treatment with phenobarbital or bromide as the first-choice antiepileptic drug (AED) in dogs. DESIGN Double-blinded, randomized, parallel, clinical trial. ANIMALS 46 AED-naïve dogs with naturally occurring epilepsy. PROCEDURES Study inclusion was based on age, history, findings on physical and neurologic examinations, and clinicopathologic test ...
