Recently Anishetty, Majumdar and Sharatchandra have proposed a way of characterizing topologically non-trivial configurations for 2+1-dimensional Yang-Mills theory in a local and manifestly gauge invariant manner. In this paper we develop criteria to locate such objects in lattice gauge theory and find them in numerical simulations. PACS No.(s) 11.15 Ha, 11.15 Tk Typeset using REVTEX Present ad...

The PEP-N experiment requires a fast on-line luminosity monitor of modest accuracy plus an off-line method of determining integrated luminosity with accuracy of 0.01 for each pb−1. We propose the PEP-2 monitor, based on observing single bremsstrahlung at zero degrees to the positron direction at collision for the former and the use of Bhabha scatters at polar angles >.03 radians for the latter ...

With the inclusion of nonfactorized amplitudes in a scheme with Nc = 3, we have studied Cabibbo-favored decays of D0 and D+ into two-body hadronic states involving two isospins in the final state. We have shown that it is possible to understand the measured branching ratios and determined the sizes and signs of nonfactorized amplitudes required. PACS index: 13.25 Hw, 14.40.
