Let Γ denote a Q-polynomial distance-regular graph with diameter at least three and standard module V . We introduce two direct sum decompositions of V . We call these the displacement decomposition for Γ and the split decomposition for Γ. We describe how these decompositions are related.

A graph G is called CIS if each maximal clique intersects each maximal stable set in G, and is called almost CIS if it has a unique disjoint pair (C, S) consisting of a maximal clique C and a maximal stable set S. While it is still unknown if there exists a good structural characterization of all CIS graphs, in this note we prove the following Andrade-BorosGurvich conjecture: A graph is almost ...

The distance eigenvalues of a connected graph G are the eigenvalues of its distance matrix D, and they form the distance spectrum of G. A graph is called distance integral if its distance spectrum consists entirely of integers. We show that no nontrivial tree can be distance integral. We characterize distance integral graphs in the classes of graphs similar to complete split graphs, which, toge...

the wiener index $w(g)$ of a connected graph $g$‎ ‎is defined as $w(g)=sum_{u,vin v(g)}d_g(u,v)$‎ ‎where $d_g(u,v)$ is the distance between the vertices $u$ and $v$ of‎ ‎$g$‎. ‎for $ssubseteq v(g)$‎, ‎the {it steiner distance/} $d(s)$ of‎ ‎the vertices of $s$ is the minimum size of a connected subgraph of‎ ‎$g$ whose vertex set is $s$‎. ‎the {it $k$-th steiner wiener index/}‎ ‎$sw_k(g)$ of $g$ ...

‎Let $R$ be commutative ring with identity and $M$ be an $R$-module‎. ‎The zero divisor graph of $M$ is denoted $Gamma{(M)}$‎. ‎In this study‎, ‎we are going to generalize the zero divisor graph $Gamma(M)$ to submodule-based zero divisor graph $Gamma(M‎, ‎N)$ by replacing elements whose product is zero with elements whose product is in some submodules $N$ of $M$‎. ‎The main objective of this pa...

let g=(v,e) be a simple graph. an edge labeling f:e to {0,1} induces a vertex labeling f^+:v to z_2 defined by $f^+(v)equiv sumlimits_{uvin e} f(uv)pmod{2}$ for each $v in v$, where z_2={0,1} is the additive group of order 2. for $iin{0,1}$, let e_f(i)=|f^{-1}(i)| and v_f(i)=|(f^+)^{-1}(i)|. a labeling f is called edge-friendly if $|e_f(1)-e_f(0)|le 1$. i_f(g)=v_f(1)-v_f(0) is called the edge-f...

We consider the following vertex-partition problem on graphs, known as the CLUSTER DELETION (CD) problem: given a graph with real nonnegative edge weights, partition the vertices into clusters (in this case, cliques) to minimize the total weight of edges outside the clusters. The decision version of this optimization problem is known to be NP-complete even for unweighted graphs and has been stu...

A defensive alliance in a graph is a set $S$ of vertices with the property that every vertex in $S$ has at most one moreneighbor outside of $S$ than it has inside of $S$. A defensive alliance $S$ is called global if it forms a dominating set. The global defensive alliance number of a graph $G$ is the minimum cardinality of a global defensive alliance in $G$. In this article we study the global ...
