During the operation of BEPC, the cable isolation layer near the high voltage connector of the DC separator is often melted, which is probably caused by the HOMs power. This paper presents the measurement results of the HOMs shunt impedance, the calculation of the power dissipated in the separator and through the connector, and the analysis of the HOMs effects.

We have developed a 7-core-fiber connector. To maintain both the ferrule floating mechanism and precise alignment around the ferrule axis, we employed Oldham's coupling mechanism inside the MUtype connector plug housing and realized an average attenuation of 0.13 dB and an average return loss of 46.8 dB.

We presented a technique for using the St. Jude Aortic Connector System in anastomosis with a composite graft of saphenous vein and radial artery. This technique has not been reported in the previous literature. Our technique could improve some disadvantages of the St. Jude Aortic Connector and allow this device to be used in off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCAB).
