大伏在静脈弁不全154例168肢に対し細径ファイバー（ELVeS radial 2ring slim fiber，直径1.27 mm）を用いて血管内レーザー焼灼を行った．さらに側枝静脈瘤を16 G静脈留置針で穿刺し，内腔へファイバーを挿入し出力5 Wで焼灼した．術後1カ月目に焼灼部位を観察したところ61%の症例で明らかな硬結が認められた．術後6カ月目に再評価したところ，6割の患者で硬結は消失し，エコー上の径は術後1カ月目と比べて44%に縮小していた．瘤焼灼に伴う皮膚熱傷や神経損傷，創感染，血栓性静脈炎などの有害事象は認められず，整容性に優れた治療が可能であった．
