Abstract We introduce a new domain decomposition strategy for time harmonic Maxwell’s equations that is valid in the case of automatically generated subdomain partitions with possible presence cross-points. The convergence algorithm guaranteed and we present complete analysis matrix form method. method involves transmission matrices responsible imposing coupling between subdomains. discuss choi...

Computational electromagnetics are useful for examining communication link performance in complex propagation environments. In this paper we illustrate how different characterizations of narrowband multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels, including the mutual information, received power, and effective rank, behave as a function of location. Large-scale simulation results are presented fo...

Niching methods extend genetic algorithms and permit the investigation of multiple optimal solutions in the search space. In this paper, we review and discuss various strategies of niching for optimization in electromagnetics. Traditional mathematical problems and an electromagnetic benchmark are solved using niching genetic algorithms to show their interest in real world optimization.

In this work the electromagnetic modeling activities of the Electromagnetics and Matter Research Group (GEM) at the Technical University of Cartagena are reviewed. In particular, waveguide inverse permittivity measurement techniques, neural network devices modeling and efficiency and electric field uniformity achievement for multimode ovens by using dielectric moulds are reviewed. Additionally,...

In this paper we demonstrate the use of loosely-coupled adaptive loops created from already available software components. Using interoperable functions, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the adaptive loops through two examples, an electromagnetics simulation and a metal forming simulation. Both are completely automated and give accurate results.

In this paper a multiphysics approach to study the optical properties of integrated waveguides influenced by thermal and mechanical stress is presented. The heating and pressure effects are evaluated by means the Heat Transfer and Structural Mechanics modules respectively. Finally, the Electromagnetics Module is used in order to evaluate the optical eigenfunctions and eigenvalues.

A fast algorithm is proposed for computation of certain multilevel Toeplitz forms. It helps to implement some simple quadrature formulas in an efficient way, allowing for the use of more nodes. An application example is given with the volume integral equations in electromagnetics.
