A variety of dependency formalisms have been studied for improving data quality. To treat these dependencies in a uniform framework, we propose a simple language, Quality Improving Dependencies (QIDs). We show that previous dependencies considered for data quality can be naturally expressed as QIDs, and that different enforcement mechanisms of QIDs yield various data repairing strategies.

In our work we deal with the problem of engineering Regulated Open Multiagent Systems. Our method integrates open multi-agent systems and service-oriented architectures. Moreover, e-contracting and regulation enforcement mechanisms are integrated in order to control the behaviour of the agents.

The paper discusses the design of environmental remediation laws in countries struggling with fundamental market and institutional reforms. Optimal cleanup standards, liability rules, and enforcement are discussed from the standpoint of both economic efficiency and practical implementation. Particular attention is paid to financing mechanisms and issues that arise during privatization.
