Let R be a local ring of positive characteristic and X complex with nonzero finitely generated homology finite injective dimension. We prove that if the derived base change via Frobenius (or more generally, contracting) endomorphism has dimension then is Gorenstein. In particular, we give an affirmative answer to question by Falahola Marley [7, Question 3.9].

We address two aspects of finitely generated modules of finite projective dimension over local rings and their connection in between: embeddability and grade of order ideals of minimal generators of syzygies. We provide a solution of the embeddability problem and prove important reductions and special cases of the order ideal conjecture. In particular we derive that in any local ring R of mixed...

The theory of local homology modules was initiated by Matlis in 1974. It is a dual version of the theory of local cohomology modules. Mohammadi and Divaani-Aazar (2012) studied the connection between local homology and Gorenstein flat modules by using Gorenstein flat resolutions. In this paper, we introduce generalized local homology modules for complexes and we give several ways for computing ...

Let R be a ring and n a fixed positive integer, we investigate the properties of n-strongly Gorenstein projective, injective and flat modules. Using the homological theory , we prove that the tensor product of an n-strongly Gorenstein projective (flat) right R -module and projective (flat) left R-module is also n-strongly Gorenstein projective (flat). Let R be a coherent ring ,we prove that the...

Some unexpected properties of the cubic algebra generated by the covariant derivatives of a generic Yang-Mills connection over the (s+ 1)-dimensional pseudo euclidean space are pointed out. This algebra is Gorenstein and Koszul of global dimension 3 but except for s = 1 (i.e. in the 2-dimensional case) where it is the universal enveloping algebra of the Heisenberg Lie algebra and is a cubic Art...

Gorenstein Fano polytopes arising from finite partially ordered sets will be introduced. Then we study the problem which partially ordered sets yield smooth Fano polytopes. Introduction An integral (or lattice) polytope is a convex polytope all of whose vertices have integer coordinates. Let P ⊂ R be an integral convex polytope of dimension d. • We say that P is a Fano polytope if the origin of...

Since Eilenberg and Moore [EM], the relative homological algebra, especially the Gorenstein homological algebra ([EJ2]), has been developed to an advanced level. The analogues for the basic notion, such as projective, injective, flat, and free modules, are respectively the Gorenstein projective, the Gorenstein injective, the Gorenstein flat, and the strongly Gorenstein projective modules. One c...

Let [Formula: see text] be an abelian category. In this paper, we investigate the global text]-Gorenstein projective dimension text], associated to a GP-admissible pair text]. We give homological conditions over that characterize it. Moreover, given GI-admissible study under which and are same.

Using new number-theoretic bounds on the denominators of unit fractions summing up to one, we show that in any dimension d ≥ 4 there is only one d-dimensional reflexive simplex having maximal volume. Moreover, only these reflexive simplices can admit an edge that has the maximal number of lattice points possible for an edge of a reflexive simplex. In general, these simplices are also expected t...
